Frequently Asked Questions

Admission to our concerts is generally free of charge. However, you can support our work by donating at the end of one of our concerts.

To reserve a ticket for our concert, please use our online ticket reservation system. You will need to give your first and last name and a valid e-mail address.
A ticket reservation is not mandatory, but is recommended, as guests without a reservation may have to hope for free seats.

To change or cancel your reservation, please use the link in the email you received after booking your tickets.

Please note: To change your reservation, you must first cancel your booking completely. You will then receive an e-mail with a voucher code which you can use to book the new number of tickets you require. After a cancellation, you have 24 hours to book new tickets.

If the link to the ticket reservation system does not work or displays an error message, it is possible that the ticket reservation is already closed (see below) or not yet open. In other cases, please contact us by e-mail (sbr@rub.de).

The tickets will be made available for you to download when you complete your booking online. You have the option of downloading the tickets as a PDF (for printing) or as a mobile ticket for your smartphone. You can access your tickets at any time via the link in the booking email

Tickets can be reserved until the previous Friday at 12:00 noon.

The tickets, which you can download when completing your booking or subsequently via the link in the booking email, must be printed out or shown on your smartphone when entering the Audimax. In the case of a printout, please ensure that the print quality is sufficient.

The ticket reservation system clearly indicates when tickets are no longer available and offers you the opportunity to register for the waiting list. Any message that tickets are almost fully booked is merely an informative note.

You can order a total of 20 tickets per booking process, irrespective of the distribution over both days. If you need more than 20 tickets, you can simply make another booking using the same e-mail address.

Yes, the ticket that you can download after booking is optimized for mobile use. Alternatively, you may simply present the mobile ticket in printed form.

Depending on your email provider and server utilisation, it may take some time before you receive your confirmation email. If you have not received an e-mail within 24 hours, please contact sinfonisches-blasorchester@rub.de.

As soon as your reservation moves from the waiting list to the list of reservations, you will receive a voucher code via e-mail which you can use to book a ticket. Please note that, for technical reasons, only one ticket per voucher code can be booked at any one time.

As soon as the desired concert date is fully booked, you can either select another date or register for the waiting list for the respective date. Please note that, for technical reasons, only one ticket can be reserved for the waiting list at a time. If you would like to add several tickets to the waiting list, please repeat the process using the same e-mail address.

15 minutes before the start of the concert, all remaining tickets will be distributed at the entrance regardless of a reservation. Your reservation expires in that case. If the queue is very long at this time, this will of course not happen immediately, so do not worry!

Yes, of course. The Ruhr University offers barrier-free access to the Audimax level at several entry points. In the concert itself, you will be provided with a seat at ground level. It is also possible to use your wheelchair etc. as a seat.

Disabled parking spaces in P3 are signposted at the entrance to the parking garage and are accessible despite the current construction site. The elevator from there ("blue tower") to the Forumplatz is also available during events. Should technical difficulties arise, you can request an escort service from the Info Uni-Mitte to use alternative elevators, e.g. in the HZO: Tel. 0234/32-27001

Due to large crowds, we recommend arriving a little earlier.
If you have any questions, please contact us!

Unfortunately not. Admission into the hall begins 60 minutes before the start of the concert. If you like arriving early, there are pretzels and refreshments available until the start, but we are not allowed to let anyone into the building earlier than 60 minutes. Your ticket will guarantee you a seat. We would also like to inform you that the foyer may only be used for catering purposes.

If you can provide a disability card or otherwise valid documentation, you will be given priority access to the Audimax foyer. Should you have any queries on site, please contact the admissions assistants.

Yes, you will be able to buy cold refreshments and fresh pretzels at the concert.

Depending on the weather conditions, you can leave your belongings in our cloakroom free of charge. We accept no liability for the cloakroom.
