Main Research

My main research focus is to evaluate and search for early disease recognition biomarkers for different neuromuscular diseases with quantitative MRI sequences. I am currently working with water T2-mapping, Diffusion Tensor Imaging and mDixon fat-quantification to evaluate pathologic features in patients with different myopathies. Another research focus is to fully automatize leg muscle segmentation for healthy and diseased muscles using image recognition algorithms and machine learning.
