High-resolution infrared spectroscopy

Spectroscopy close to absolute zero

Molecules are embedded in ultracold, superfluid helium nanodroplets at 0.37 K to investigate their structure and dynamics. Microsolvation and microaggregation of molecular clusters are studied using high-resolution infrared spectroscopy.
