Dagmar Timmann-Braun

 

Dagmar Timmann is Professor for Experimental Neurology at the Universität Duisburg-Essen. Her work is centered on understanding the distinct roles of the cerebellum and its fronto-limbic connections in pain and reward prediction and its relation to chronic pain and addiction. She is the Head of the Ataxia Clinic in Essen, the Deputy chairman of the Human research ethics committee and she is the Deputy Network Coordinator ITN Cerebellum and Emotional Networks. She is one of the leaders in cerebellar research and published over 200 peer reviewed manuscripts.


Hans-Christian Pape

 

Hans-Christian Pape is Professor for Neurophysiology at the University of Münster. He is considered as one of the leading experts on the neurophysiology of emotions. He received various prices including the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz price and the Max-Planck-Forschungspreis. He has been an active member in various national and international advisory boards including the German Wissenschaftsrat and is a member of the German Academy of Science (Leopoldina). Since 2018 he is the president of the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung.


Ulf Eysel

 

Ulf Eysel is Emeritus Professor at the Institute of Physiology at the Medical Faculty of the Ruhr Universität Bochum. He is a renowned international leader in neurophysiology and sensory physiology of the visual system. He is a member of the German Academy of Science (Leopoldina), where he is the vice speaker of the Neuroscience section and the deputy senator. He has been the former president of the German Neuroscience Society. He is on several advisory boards including the Australian Research Council Center of Excellence for Integrative Brain Function and the Medical Faculty of the University of Linz, Austria. He has been involved as an active member in various CRC at the RUB, has been the speaker of the IGSN until 2018 and is the ombudsperson for good scientific practice since 2013 at RUB.
