Dagmar Timmann-Braun

 

Dagmar Timmann is Professor for Experimental Neurology at the Universität Duisburg-Essen. Her work is centered on understanding the distinct roles of the cerebellum and its fronto-limbic connections in pain and reward prediction and its relation to chronic pain and addiction. She is the Head of the Ataxia Clinic in Essen, the Deputy chairman of the Human research ethics committee and she is the Deputy Network Coordinator ITN Cerebellum and Emotional Networks. She is one of the leaders in cerebellar research and published over 200 peer reviewed manuscripts.


Hans-Christian Pape

 

Hans-Christian Pape is Professor for Neurophysiology at the University of Münster. He is considered as one of the leading experts on the neurophysiology of emotions. He received various prices including the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz price and the Max-Planck-Forschungspreis. He has been an active member in various national and international advisory boards including the German Wissenschaftsrat and is a member of the German Academy of Science (Leopoldina). Since 2018 he is the president of the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung.


Ulf Eysel

 

Ulf Eysel is Emeritus Professor at the Institute of Physiology at the Medical Faculty of the Ruhr Universität Bochum. He is a renowned international leader in neurophysiology and sensory physiology of the visual system. He is elected Senator and speaker of the Neuroscience section of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina. He serves on several advisory boards including the Medical Faculty of the University of Linz, Austria, and the RTG 2610 at the RWTH Aachen. He has been a former president of the German Neuroscience Society, speaker of the IGSN and was involved as speaker and principal investigator in various CRCs at the RUB. Since 2023 he is ombudsperson for good scientific practice at the RUB.
