Module 2: Doctoral candidate
The module for doctoral students aims to prepare participants for the post-doctoral phase by supporting the planning of this phase and acquiring skills for a scientific career in the form of seminars and workshops.
Framework of the module for doctoral candidates:
The module for doctoral candidates Das Promovierenden-Modul is aimed at all female doctoral candidates of the Medical Faculty.
The module for doctoral candidates started with the kick-off event in fall 2021.
The term is one year.
Insgesamt werden maximal 25 Teilnehmerinnen im Promovierenden-Modul aufgenommen.
In the context of peer mentoring, 5 female doctoral candidates should form a group that meets regularly every 1 to 2 months in the sense of collegial consultation, possibly with the addition of experts.
At the beginning, all participants are provided with a paper copy of "DocYouMent" developed by us. It serves to record the results of the mentoring and to reflect on further career planning.
Content of the doctoral candidates module:
At the beginning, a kick-off event is held together with the participants of the other "DocYouMent" modules, which opens our mentoring program "DocYouMent", framed by content-related lectures.
The respective peer mentoring groups meet regularly every 1 to 2 months in the sense of a collegial consultation, possibly with the addition of experts.
A total of 4 workshops, seminars or specialized lectures will be offered to all participants.
Towards the end of the mentoring program, a closing event is held with all participants of the doctoral candidates module to round off the mentoring program.
