Electron Microprobe lab of the Ruhr-University Bochum

Welcome to the website of the Electron Microprobe Lab at Ruhr-University Bochum (Germany).

Our lab is a central analytical facility within the Department of Geology, Mineralogy and Geophysics. Electron Probe Microanalysis is used for chemical analyses of solid matter with high spatial resolution. The variety of measurable elements and the comparatively short analysis time make the electron microprobe an instrument that is routinely used in state-of-the-art geoscientific and material science research.

This website provides you with information about our lab equipment. If you are interested in using the lab, please do not hesitate to contact us.
