How to prepare your abstract

Please use the following abstract template (download) to submit your abstract. It is used to decide on a type of contribution as well as to be published along in the abstract book. Please indicate your preference for poster or oral communication as well as the general topic. For both we have limited spots available (about 60 poster spots and 32 slots for oral communications).

Indicate the general topic of your contribution:
•    Enzyme Mining and Engineering
•    Enzymology and Biochemistry
•    Biotechnology and Applications

After completing your abstract, save the file as . docx and .pdf
File name: surname_name_01.docx/.pdf (If presenting second abstract, please include the final number: 02, etc.)

Send both files to oxizymes-2026@ruhr-uni-bochum.de with mail object: “abstract surname_name”  
And let us know if you would like to contribute in oral or poster form.

Abstracts for oral communications and posters should be submitted unto 31. May or 30. June, repectively. Soon after those dates you will get a notification via email.

Poster Information

All posters have been assigned a poster number which can be found in the book of abstracts. Posters should be mounted at the beginning of the conference and will be on display throughout the conference. Posters should have a format not larger than A0 (84.1 x 118.9 cm – wide x height). Pins to mount posters will be provided on side. 
The poster session with discussion will take place on Wednesday and Thursday during the reception and dinner. The best poster(s) will be selected during the sessions, and the winner will be announced at the end of the conference.

Speaker Information

Speakers are asked to upload their presentation during the breaks, preferably the evening
before the presentation or send it to the local organizers by email. The duration of the contributions is as follows: lectures: 45 minutes (40 min + 5 minutes of discussion), oral communication: 15 minutes (12 min + 3 min of discussion), and the Sophie Vanhulle award lecture: 30 minutes (25 min + 5 min).
