Graduation Day 2007
IGSN Graduation Day took place on December 7th, 2007 and was a great success for all concerned.
The day began with opening speeches by Prof. Dr. Onur Güntürkün, Speaker of the IGSN and
Prof. Dr. D. Manahan-Vaughan, the IGSN’s Dean of Studies.
Following the speeches several IGSN students (Lea Soei, Deepak Dash (see photo),
Ganna Palagina, Benedict Ng and Vanessa Niederkinkhaus) presented their current work to a packed audience.
This, in turn, was followed by the poster presentations, which took place in a friendly and cordial atmosphere,
before the graduation ceremony proper was opened by the Rektor of the Ruhr-Universität, Prof. Dr. Weiler.
The successful and eventful day was brought to a close in a cosy restaurant in Bochum, good food accompanying relaxed and happy people.
