Ruhr-Universität is international: more than 5,300 international students are enrolled in degree courses here; RUB also has numerous partner universities in all four corners of the globe. Consequently, our international friends play a major role in our 50th anniversary celebrations, no question about that!
For the International Week we take our time: from June 8 to 12, members of partner universities, students, researchers, members of staff, and alumni come together on the campus to celebrate the RUB’s anniversary. The programme is as diverse as the protagonists’ countries of origin: from theatre plays, through culinary delights, workshops, infopoints, language courses and lectures, up to and including exotic music, there’s a lot to explore. Join us on an exciting round-the-world trip!
Every day is themed around a different (sub)continent.

Tuesday, June 9: Eastern Europe
Wednesday, June 10: Western/Southern Europe
Thursday, June 11: The Americas – from North to South
Friday, June 12: Global Day
All events take place in the RUB Mensa building; individual events will also take place in Faculty and Institute rooms.
