Service: Animal Welfare Officer
The animal welfare officer provides advice and support to RUB employees and students in all questions concerning animal welfare, animal housing, and animal experimental procedures. He also helps scientists, who plan to conduct animal experiments, with all applications to receive the necessary authorisation. However, applications for the permission to do animal experiments must be submitted in German. Scientists, who are not able to write applications in German, are invited to prepare their applications in English, which are translated into German by the animal welfare officer prior to submission.
