Argentinian Ambassador in a shared flat of UniverCity
We proudly present the new Ambassadors of Bochum in the shared flat of UniverCity and congratulate one of our international students for being part of this project! José Chielli is an exchange student from Argentina and came to Ruhr-Universiät in winter semester 2014/15 due to a DAAD scholarship programme. At RUB, he is studying Electrical and Information Engineering and takes part in a research project of the Institute for Neural Computation.
He enjoyed his time in Bochum so much, that he has extended his one-semester stay until the end of the summer semester 2015.
He wanted to get to know the city of Bochum, to improve his German, to establish contacts with students from Germany and to finance his extended stay. Therefore, José applied for becoming an Ambassador of Bochum by the alliance UniverCity Bochum and was promptly selected. The benefit: he is now living rent-free in the shared flat in Hustadtring for six months! In return, he and his two flatmates Jana (Law, RUB) and Björn (Nursing Science, Ev. FH) will regularly share their experiences in the Ruhr area.

"UniverCity Bochum" is an alliance of seven universities of Bochum together with the City of Bochum, Bochum Marketing GmbH, the Chamber of Commerce Central Ruhr, the Akafö and the German Mining Museum. The main target of the partners is to further strengthen Bochum as a city of science and education.
