WDRforyou visits Ruhr-Universität

On their bus tour through North Rhine-Westphalia, WDRforyou stopped in Bochum

Students from Ruhr-Universität and a member of the International Office spoke on the subject of "Studying in Germany" in two livestreams in different languages. The discussions were broadcast live on Facebook in German, Persian and Arabic, where viewers could actively ask questions to the interview partners. For example, questions about admission requirements and special study preparatory courses for refugees were answered, as well as questions about studying in Bochum in general.

The students from Iran and Syria were able to impress the reporters Bamdad Esmaili and Falah Elias with their high level of German language skills and thus serve as role models for many international prospective students.

If you are also interested in studying in Bochum, we would like to draw your attention to the following event:
Bochum universities introduce themselves on 6 May 2019 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the UFO of Ruhr-Universität Bochum.

Services for Refugees and international students

Ruhr-Universität Bochum was one of the first universities in Germany to offer special study preparatory courses for refugees. Since then, it has seen itself as a university without borders. Thanks to the successful
"Integra" programme, around 100 refugees have been able to enrol at Ruhr-Universität. Further projects run parallel to the already established measures for the support of international students. Thanks to the many years of experience of the International Office, more than 4.300 international students currently feel comfortable studying at Ruhr-Universität.
