Ruhr-Universität Bochum presented itself at its partner university in Shanghai with a diverse programme on 18 and 19 October.
An academic delegation from various faculties, staff from the language centres ‘ZFA’ and ‘LSI’ and the International Office travelled to Shanghai for the event. A delegation from AKAFÖ Student Services also attended the event in Shanghai. They served Westphalian delicacies for one week in two canteens at Tongji University and attended the RUB event days by serving e.g. Currywurst and Westphalian Schmorkohl.

Partners since 1980

Ruhr-Universität Bochum has been collaborating with Tongji University for more than 30 years. It is a very special partnership for both universities. They began working together in 1980. At this time, Ruhr-Universität Bochum was Tongji University’s first partner university abroad, and Tongji is now one of the universities which have been collaborating with still young Ruhr-Universität Bochum for the longest.
During the RUB days, the long-term partnership was celebrated and future collaboration in various academic fields was planned and discussed.
