Research Group Mechanics of Adaptive Systems

Since its establishment the research group Mechanics of Adaptive Systems (MAS) led by Prof. Nestorović has been focused in research and teaching on the overall aspects of design and implementation of smart structures and systems with the aim to reduce or eliminate the influences of undesired environmental excitations using structural adaptation.

Research focus:

• Control laws for the overall design of adaptive smart structures

• Active Vibration Control (AVC)

• Structural Health Monitoring (SHM)

• Model and parameter identification (numeric and experimental)

• Active Structural Acoustic Control (ASAC)

• Machine diagnostics

• Nondestructive testing (NDT)

• Real time control and simulation of Hardware-in-the-Loop systems

• Full waveform inversion

• Ultrasonic investigation and testing
