Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum is located on campus neighbouring the Lottental and the Kemnader See. With a size of 13 hectares it is one of the ten most prestigious gardens in Germany. A walk through the garden is a relaxing balance in labour-intensive times. The foyer of the greenhouses can be used for meetings or receptions.

A special gem is hidden in the south-eastern part of the botanical garden: The Chinese Garden "Qian Yuan" (land of peach blossom). It was built in 1990 as a gift from our collaborating partner Tongji University of Shanghai.
