Code of Conduct

SuB28 is committed to ensuring a welcoming environment that benefits from the diversity of experiences of all its participants. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment both during talks and outside. We aim to offer equal treatment to every participant regardless of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, age, or any other factor.

Verbal, written, or physical behavior and language that is welcome or acceptable to one individual may be unwelcome or offensive to another. It is therefore important to use extra care to ensure that your words and/or actions communicate respect for one another.

If a participant engages in any form of discriminatory or harassing behavior, SuB28 organizers will take any action they deem appropriate, from warning the offender to banning them from the conference venue.

If you are harassed, made feel uncomfortable with the way you are being treated, notice someone else being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact Kristina Liefke (at or any other member of the Organizing Committee. All reports will be handled in the strictest confidentiality and will be taken seriously. If you are not comfortable contacting the Organizing or Executive Committee yourself, consider talking to a trusted friend or colleague and approaching the organizers together. The organizers are committed to ensuring the safety and well being of all conference participants.
