Understanding Germany: An Intercultural Training, June 17th 2018, 10:00 am

Every country has its own culture, rules and customs. Thus, Germans also have their own characteristics and values, for example separating their work from their private life or making a strong emphasis on rules and time-management. In this, they differ from other cultures, which can sometimes lead to misunderstandings. In order to avoid these misunderstandings and to help you settle in, we offer an intercultural training, which will explain the German culture and mentality in contrast to other cultures, give you the possibility to exchange your experiences with others and to ask individual questions. Prior to the training you will have the opportunity to send questions and suggestions via an online-questionnaire to our trainer, Dr. Iris Wangermann, who is very experienced and works with various universities and well-known companies on a regular basis. During the training she will include films, group-works and various other methods to give you a deeper understanding of (German) culture.
