The guided tour will show you Zeche Zollverein, once known as the greatest industrial site of Europe, which has been part of UNESCO world heritage since 2001. Zollverein is regarded as a masterpiece of industrial architecture. With its winding tower it has become symbol for the economic, social and cultural change of the entire Ruhr Valley. Every year about 1.5 million guests from all over the world come to Zollverein which houses various cultural events, opportunities for free time activities and an academy of arts as well as many young enterprises.
