Pension rights: Info event, Wednesday, 15/10/2014, 02:00 pm

Working in different countries – and thus paying into different social security systems – poses questions on pension rights at the end of a working life. Therefore, we would like to invite all internationally mobile researchers to an info-session on pension rights. The information event contains information on the German Pension Fund, the occupational pension scheme of the Public Service (VBL) and information on the “Find Your Pension” website for mobile researchers. The event is organized and conducted by “Find Your Pension“ and the German Pension Fund.

The talks aim at answering questions such as the following:
- Do I qualify for a pension in Germany?
- What pension benefits can I expect?
- Will I still be entitled to collect a pension from Germany if I leave the country?
- If I do not qualify for a pension, how can I have my contributions reimbursed?
- What do I need to do once I retire in order to collect my pension?

The event will be held in English. Individual consulting talks (15-20 minutes) are offered after the event.
