International Women's Exchange: German Easter Traditions, Friday 11 April 2014, 4pm

We organise a monthly meeting for women to promote social and cultural exchange and help newcomers settle in. All women with an international background can attend these events. The languages of the events are English and German and the topics are very diverse. Children are welcome.

Have you ever wondered what the Easter bunny,the painted eggs and Easter fires are all about? On this evening we are going to talk about the origins of Easter as a Christian tradition and about typical German traditions like the Easter bunny and the painted eggs. Following this, we will ourselves engage in the tradition of Easter egg painting.
