RUBiss Day trip to Ruhr Museum Zeche Zollverein in Essen
On the 13th of December 2019 a group of our international students visited, accompanied by two of our interns, the Ruhr museum Zeche Zollverein in Essen.
The group visited the museum's exhibition, where they took a guided tour in German or optionally English. The Zollverein colliery has been a UNSECO World Heritage site since 2001 and, with its famous double-bok winding tower, embodies the economic, social and cultural transformation of the entire Ruhr region. Since the museum's permanent exhibition shows the entire natural and cultural history of the Ruhr area, participants were able to gain a great insight into the characteristics of the region.
