Interns and Campus Guides for the winter semester 2018/19 wanted!

For the 2018/19 winter semester, the International Office is looking for six interns and volunteer “Campus Guides” to accompany international students during their first steps at the Ruhr-Universität.

As a volunteer "Campus Guide", you will assist a small group of international students during the orientation days (beginning of october). Furthermore, you will be supporting international students with the completion of formalities, the orientation on campus and with information regarding studying and living in Bochum.

Increase your intercultural competence, get to know new cultures and deepen your knowledge of foreign languages! For your foreign fellow students, you are an important contact person and offer practical support as well as contact with German culture and language.

Internship at the International Office (support for international students)

2-Fach Bachelor students can complete a one-semester internship in the International Office (support for international students).

As an intern you support a small group of international students during the orientation days (04.10.-06.10.2018).

Throughout the semester you will be the contact person for the students, organise the cultural and leisure programme of RUBiss (excursions, cultural evenings, etc.) and take on individual tasks in the International Office. The focus lies on the organisation and realisation of the weekly language café in the Max-Kade-Hall (every Monday evening during the lecture period).

For the internship in the course of 150 working hours, you can allow 5 CP to be credited via the optional area.
