Integra Semester Closing in Winter Semester 2017/2018
In the winter semester 2017/2018, about 200 refugees participated in the Integra programme of the International Office successfully. The programme offers special preparatory courses for prospective refugee students that combine German language courses with a propaedeutic programme.
Child care within the parents' class was also successfully offered again for the Integra-12 programme, this time with the support of AWO Bochum.
After completing the examinations, the participants celebrated the end of the semester together with the volunteer language instructors, other volunteers and programme partners at a dinner at the bistro on 8 February 2018. At the beginning of the evening, some participants read poems in German and Arabic; the evening was musically accompanied by DADDY LOLO.
From 1 to 28 February 2018, the application period for the Integra-12 programme for the summer semester 2018 takes place. Application can be submitted online.
The Integra-12 courses for prospective refugee students are free of charge. Volunteer language instructors teach the German courses in 8 hours per week. The propaedeutic programme in form of lectures and workshops is offered in 4 hours per week.
