Join us on our day trip to Bonn

When? Saturday, 13 January 2018, 9.45 am
Where? In front of the University Library of Ruhr-Universität


Join us on our trip to the city of Bonn and the “Haus der Geschichte”! First you will have time to explore the city centre and old town of Bonn on your own. Afterwards we will visit the “Haus der Geschichte” together: a unique museum where you can learn about the history of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesrepublik Deutschland, BRD).
The trip takes place in cooperation with the Welcome Centre.

Services: Bus journey there and back, time to explore the city of Bonn and the museum.

REGISTRATION
Price 3,50 € (regular), 3,00 € (with ESNcard)
Registration at the International Office, tickets as long as stocks last, only for RUB students

Train your intercultural competence at our Intercultural Training

When? Saturday, 20 January 2018, 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
Where? EuroEck, Spechtsweg 20, 44801 Bochum


In this workshop, you will learn how culture affects our communication and how to communicate successfully across different cultures and social groups.
Central topics are self-awareness and perception, the concept of culture and identity, and working in a group. The goal is the successful communication and cooperation with people from different cultures. The workshop is organized by the social psychologists Sandra Plontke and Dr. Pradeep Chakkarath of the Faculty of Social Science.

REGISTRATION
Participation is free of charge. 10 € deposit, that you will get back after participation. Registration at the International Office, tickets as long as stocks last
