Campus Guides Integra wanted for summer semester 2017!

The International Office is looking for two interns who will work as Campus Guides Integra and assist prospective refugee students in making their first steps at Ruhr-Universität in summer semester 2017.

In order to help prospective refugee students to have a successful start in their studies the International Office / RUBiss International Student Services offers the Integra programme which consists of a German language course combined with a propaedeutic programme.

During the internship you will primarily support the activities of the propaedeutic programme. The events that you will accompany are, amongst other things, an intercultural workshop, the weekly language practice meetup, the weekly study group as well as various other events. Before starting the internship, you will take part in an obligatory training/workshop.

Being a Campus Guide Integra helps you to improve your intercultural and language skills and to get to know new cultures. You are going to be an important contact for the refugee students by offering practical assistance and acting as a contact to the German culture and language.

The internship implies 150 working hours that can be credited for 5 CP within the so-called “Optionalbereich” and is aimed to all students who study in a 2-Subjects-Bachelor-Programme and are not employed at RUB for the period of the internship. The information is given in German language only as a certain level is required to take the internship.

If you are interested, please send your motivation letter and your CV in German language to Katrin Gildemeister via email until 10 March 2017.
