Free GERMAN Language COURSES FOR REFUGEES

Ruhr-Universität Bochum welcomes refugees in Germany and wants to support their start in Bochum.

During the summer semester 2016, the International Office and the department “German as a Foreign Language" (DaF) offer a programme called "Integra-12" including free German language courses for beginners and additional events to refugees who want to study at a university.

In altogether 12 hours per week we will offer:

  • German language courses (8h/week) and academic or cultural events like
    seminars and workshops (4h/week).

All refugees who obtain a university entrance qualification in Germany or their home country can participate.

The language courses will start at 25 April 2016. They'll take place twice a week from 4-8 pm at RUB and held by volunteers.

A prior placement test is mandatory. If you are interested in the programme Integra-12, please register for the placement test latest until 15 April 2016.

There are several options, please register for one single appointment of your choice to do the placement test:

As part of Integra-12 there is the possibility to enroll at RUB as a guest student. A special ticket for transportation can unfortunately not be offered!

The capacity for Integra-12 is limited. Thus, we cannot guarantee a place for everybody.
