Project for "Social Movements in European Perspectives"

The programme “Social Movements in European Perspectives” offers advanced BA students, who are interested in interdisciplinary research on the history and present of social movements, an opportunity to approach the topic of social movements from a range of different perspectives. The Summer School in the format of a conference is the heart of the programme and will take place in September 2015. At this interdisciplinary conference the students will engage with different aspects of social movements every day. National and international experts - historians, sociologists and others - in the particular fields will give keynotes and presentations and will discuss current positions of research as well as problems of the social movements with students in panel discussions and round table sessions. The last session of the programme, the so-called “Future Workshop”, will provide the follow-up of the conference and an opportunity to discuss future scenarios for social movements and social change.

This project is addressed to international students as well!

Please note:

  • The events will take place in English language.
