Information event about scholarships for engineering students - Project ELLI

The colleagues of the project ELLI will answer the following questions during the event:
- How good are the chances of getting a scholarship?
- Which foundations exist and what are their main areas of focus?
- Which foundation would be particularly suitable for me?
- What does an application involve and how much time and effort do I have to plan for it?

There will be different information events adapted to the
respective students/prospective students
, such as a special event for students with a refugee background:

Are you interested in studying engineering sciences or are you already enrolled? Foundations often offer special funding opportunities for refugee students. We will inform you about which ones are available for students with a refugee background.

Services for Refugees and international students

Ruhr-Universität Bochum was one of the first universities in Germany to offer special study preparatory courses for refugees. Since then, it has seen itself as a university without borders.

Thanks to the successful "Integra" programme, around 100 refugees have been able to enrol at Ruhr-Universität.

Further projects run parallel to the already established measures for the support of international students. Thanks to the many years of experience of the International Office, more than 4.300 international students currently feel comfortable studying at Ruhr-Universität.
