Ruhr Fellowsship 2019: Student Buddies Wanted
This summer twelve scholarship recipients from top-notch US American Ivy League schools will visit the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in the framework of the Ruhr Fellowship. Students from the fields of engineering, natural science, and business administration will be spending June and July in the Ruhr Area. In June, they will attend a German language course and participate in an academic and cultural programme. In July, they do internships at well-known companies situated in the Ruhr metropolitan region, such as innogy, Evonik, Klöckner, and WILO.
Do you want to meet the students, improve your English-language competencies, and collect valuable intercultral experience? If yes, become a mentor for the Ruhr Fellowship 2019!
Your tasks
You will support the students when they arrive in Bochum and help them to check-in into their campus life (e.g. helping them buy a SIM card, showing them around). You will show them what Bochum, the university, and the Ruhr Area have to offer. As a contact person and as a friend, you will accompany the students to cultural events.
Your profile
You are an open-minded and reliable student at Ruhr University Bochum. A previous stay abroad in an English-speaking culture is of advantage.
Your benefits
