Partnership days at RUB
From December 7th til 10th 2010, RUB was for the first time hosting "Partnership Days".
The Partnership Days, which will be hosted regularly during the next couple of years, are RUB's way of expressing its special appreciation of its long-time international partner universities. Particpants of this year's Partnership Days were high-ranking delegations of the universities Tours (Université François Rabelais), Tokyo (The University of Tokyo), Niş (University of Niş), Krakow (Jagiellonen-University), Wroclaw(Uniwersytet Wrocławski) and Shanghai (Tongji-University) as well as the contact persons for the different partnerships at RUB.
Within the Parntership days, the oldest partner universities of RUB, the universities of Tours and Tokyo, were awarded the distinction "Pro Societate Multorum Annorum" in an extraordinary meeting of the RUB's Senate.
Delegations of the named and additional partner universities also took part in the fair "Grenzenlos" whicht was held on Dec. 9th in the Auditorium Maximum, showing RUB-students different ways of spending some time abroad during their studies.
A workshop on different ways of international scientific cooperation, a visit of the Planetarium Bochum and of RUB's christmas concert completed the programme.
