New Student Exchange with the Pontifical Bolivarian University
The International Office proudly presents a new student exchange with the Pontifical Bolivarian University (UPB). Starting in the academic year 2018/19, Bochum students can spend their study abroad at this prestigious private university located in Medellín dedicated to the philosophy of the political leader Simón Bolívar.
This new exchange is especially suited for advanced Bachelor’s students as well as Master’s students enrolled in the faculties of Medicine, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Engineering who have intermediate Spanish skills (at least B1). Students do not have to pay tuition at UPB and they can apply for funding through the RUB's PROMOS program.
The bilateral agreement between the UPB and RUB is already the third university-wide cooperation in Columbia after the Universidad Santo Tomás (USTA) and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UNC) which are both located in the capital city of Bogotá.
