VULCANUS: Industrial Internships in Japan
VULCANUS is a trainee programme funded by the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation that has been offering students from the EU internships in Japan since 1997. From September to August, participants will attend a one-week introductory seminar on Japan, a four-month long Japanese language course and an eight-month long internship. Eligible for funding are EU nationals who are currently enrolled in the fourth year of an engineering or science degree course. Application deadline is 20 January 2015.
VULCANUS includes a scholarship that amounts to 1,900,000 yen (approximately 13,000 €) for the entire year. There is no charge for the language course and seminar, and accommodation is provided free of charge during the course and seminar and the company traineeship.
