Teaching Assistant in South Australia
The Department of Education and Children's Services of South Australia (DECS) offers internships in schools to a limited number of future teachers from abroad. Bachelor's and Master's students have the unique opportunity to work in a South Australian Government School for at least 10 weeks (1 term) and up to 39 weeks (4 terms).
DECS assists students in the visa application process. Additionally, DECS organises various social, cultural and touristic events together with the South Australian Exchange Teacher's League (SAETL). Students may apply for homestays, if they are interested in this special kind of accommodation.
Internships at South Australian Government Schools are eligible for the scholarship programme PROMOS.
