Marion Eggert

Short Biography

Marion Eggert is a professor and head of the Department for Korean Language and Literature at the Ruhr University in Bochum. She is also a member of the Research Department of CERES (Center for Religious Studies) and a member of the Academia Europaea. Among other things, she researches collective and individual identity formations, knowledge circulation in and between Korea and China (especially in the 16th and 19th centuries) as well as concepts of world and knowledge orders and their literary configurations.
