Call for papers/Call for presentations
- for passive participation (just registration is necessary),
- for the presenting a talk only or
- for the presentation of a talk and for the essay competition.
The Graduate School will include several selected presentations of high-level graduate projects and it will include an Essay competition.
Applications for presentations of a talk only:
Please send an extended abstract of max. 1.000 words prepared for a double blind review process.
Applications for presentations and the essay competition: To this end, we invite submissions of an abstract of 150 words and a full paper in English of less than 4000 words including literature (as Word or PDF-File). There will be a special essay award as well as the possibility to publish the awarded papers in the peer-reviewed online-journal "ABSTRACTA".
Graduate students are invited to apply, for the entire graduate school as well as just for one session. Selected presentations must take no more than 25 minutes.
Submissions will be assessed anonymously, so please include name, abstract and contact details on an individual cover sheet. Submissions for the graduate conference should be sent electronically to: Robert.Schuetze@rub.de
Deadline for Submissions: February 20th, 2009
Decisions for presentations will be made by 27th February 2009.
Graduate students who have registered can attend all lectures without fees. Students who apply for a presentation and are selected to present their work will receive financial support. Participants in the whole graduate school (both weeks) are eligible for a grant of 300 Euro. Those who only attend the session at the Ruhr-Universitšt Bochum are eligible for a 150 Euro grant. The two best presentations during each week receive a special award.
