Faculty Day aims to provide prospective PhD students and students at the Faculty of Medicine with an interest in research with a framework for face-to-face discussions on site with clinics, institutes and departments at RUB and UK RUB regarding potential research topics and questions relating to a PhD.

Following last year’s great success, selected PhD students will again have the opportunity this year to submit a poster presenting their PhD project. The aim is to facilitate a relaxed and informal exchange on an equal footing. PhD students will be awarded 3 LP by the PhD Office for their poster presentation. PhD students interested in taking part should submit an abstract (structure: title, background, methodology, results, discussion) of no more than 300 words by email to Junge-medizin@rub.de by 4 September 2026. The abstract will form the basis for the selection process. Selected PhD students will then be invited to submit a poster.

Prizes for the best posters by PhD students and institutes will be awarded at the end of the event.
