Since their discovery, high entropy alloy and complex solid solution nanoparticles (NPs) and their unique properties, especially in the area of electrocatalysis, are a rapidly growing research area. NPs consist of multiple principle elements in solid solution (typically in fcc or bcc structure) and can be stabilized by entropy (polyelemental, high entropy alloy NPs). By this constitution they provide a multitude of multinary surface sites which could lead to a paradigm change in electrocatalysis for future energy systems and is of importance in other areas of materials science and engineering.
This first international virtual workshop aims to bring together pioneers of this area with scientist interested to participate. The workshop will be held via Zoom with both offline and online parts. The talks will be recorded off-line so that participants can stream them at convenient times in their time zone. The online parts will be the opening and closing of the workshop and most importantly, there will be moderated live discussion sessions. These will be recorded as well to enable offline participation.
