I obtained my M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Haifa, where my thesis focused on the philosophical mysticism of the Sufi master Ibn ʿArabī (d. 638/1240) and explored his doctrine of the “Oneness of Being” through the lens of contemporary logic. Currently, I am interested in the history of post-Avicennan philosophy and theology and working on the thought of Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī (d. 606/ 1210), seen by many as the towering figure and one of the leading commentators of Avicenna during this era. My dissertation investigates Rāzī’s theory of the afterlife, especially as developed and refined in his later magnum opus al-Maṭālib al-ʿāliya. Prior to joining RUB, I was a PhD candidate at Freie Universität Berlin and Trier University.
