WORKSHOP

The SPEAC Jean Monnet Network project contributes to establishing and developing a research network assessing the EU’s three major connection strategies between Europe and Asia, namely economic and trade, political and security, as well as people-to-people and rule of law. All research activities aim at exploring the contextualization, challenges, opportunities of these strategies as well as the development of policy recommendations.

One of the main activities of the project is the Network Researchers’ Workshops, which are designed to conduct peer-reviews between participating key staffs and their associate researchers. During the three-year project, there will be hosted in total six workshops by each university member of the network.

The hosting university will invite additional experts from academia, practitioners, officials and civil society, to special session/s to share their experiences with the project participants and external audience. During the workshops, in-depth discussion sessions will be conducted based on three major themes of a Europe-Asia Connectivity Initiative (Economic Connectivity 2019-2020, Political Connectivity 2020-2021 and Social Connectivity 2021-2022).
