The Volkswagen Foundation started its initiative European Platform for Life Sciences, Mind Sciences and the Humanities with a meeting in the middle of nowhere (near Berlin) in October 2006. The 60 or so researchers got together in groups and worked out a number of interesting projects. Below you can see some pictures from this first workshop in the forest.
