The team led by Dr. Ansgar Poetsch has longstanding expertise in the application of analytical methods like mass spectrometry for systems biology. Their application of mass spectrometry for proteomics and lipidomics of industrial microorganisms, including algae, has guided metabolic engineering of superior strains.
