Directions to the congress hall – EuroCogSci 2019

Directions by subway:

Please take the subway (line U35, direction „Hustadt/Ruhr-Universität“) until the stop „Ruhr- Universität“.
At the station Ruhr-Universität please turn right and walk over the bridge to Audi-Max at the university campus. Behind Audi-Max you will find the refectory building. The congress hall „Veranstaltungszentrum“ is located down under the refectory (floor 04). Please find the signposted way to the congress hall.

From Wuppertal:

Please take the motorway A43 until the intersection Bochum-Witten and take the exit Bochum- Querenburg. Turn left to Universitätstraße in the direction Zentrum/Universität. Please take the exit „Uni-Mitte“ and continue as described in 2c).

From Frankfurt/Hagen and Kamener Kreuz/Kreuz Dortmund-Unna:

From the intersection Westhofener Kreuz on please take the motorway A45 in the direction Dortmund-Nordwest until the intersection Dortmund-Witten (about 7km). Then turn to the A44 in the direction Bochum until the intersection Bochum-Witten (about 10 km). Afterwards turn to A43 in the direction Wuppertal until the exit Bochum-Querenburg (about 300 m). Please take the exit „Uni Mitte“ and contiunue as described in 2c).

From the north:

From Münster, Recklinghausen:

Please take the motorway A43 which leads from Münster to Wuppertal. Exit the A43 at the junction „Bochum Querenburg/Ruhr-Universität“. Please take the exit „Uni Mitte“ and contiunue as described in 2c). 2c) After taking the exit „Uni Mitte“ please follow the signpostings „Veranstaltungszentrum“ respecitvely „EuroCogSci 2019“. With the keyword „EuroCogSci 2019“ the gate for underground parking will be opened. Please drive to parking level P9. Then take the elevator to the congress hall (level 04).

Travel recommendations (flights)

Four airports – Dortmund, Münster/Osnabrück, Cologne/Bonn and Düsseldorf – are within a reasonable distance of the Ruhr University Bochum.
Düsseldorf International Airport, however, is not only the largest, but also the most easily accessed: there are direct connections between the airport and Bochum’s main train station up to eight times per hour, and the journey only takes a good half an hour.
We recommend avoiding Düsseldorf-Weeze Airport (75km from Düsseldorf International Airport), as they do not offer good transportation service

Wegbeschreibung Veranstaltungszentrum – EuroCogSci 2019

U-Bahn:

Mit der U-Bahn (Linie U35, Richtung „Hustadt/Ruhr-Universität“) kommen Sie schnell und bequem zur Ruhr-Universität. An der Haltestelle Ruhr-Universität gehen Sie nach rechts über die Fußgängerbrücke zum Campus der Universität. Halten Sie sich an die Ausschilderung. Das Veranstaltungszentrum liegt hinter dem AudiMax direkt unterhalb der Mensa der RUB. Fahren Sie mit dem Aufzug auf die Ebene 04, dort befinden sich die Tagungsräume.

über Wuppertal:

Fahren Sie auf die A43 bis Kreuz Bochum-Witten, nehmen sie die Abfahrt Bochum-Querenburg und biegen sie links ab auf die Universitätsstraße Richtung Zentrum/Universität. Nehmen Sie die Abfahrt „Uni-Mitte“. Dann bitte weiter wie unter 2c.

über Frankfurt/Hagen und Kamener Kreuz/Kreuz Dortmund-Unna:

Fahren Sie ab dem Westhofener Kreuz A45 Richtung Dortmund-Nordwest bis Kreuz Dortmund- Witten (ca. 7 km), biegen sie ab auf die A44 Richtung Bochum bis Kreuz Bochum-Witten (ca. 10 km), biegen sie ab auf die A 43 Richtung Wuppertal bis Abfahrt Bochum-Querenburg (ca. 300 m). Nehmen Sie die Abfahrt „Uni-Mitte“. Dann bitte weiter wie unter 2c.

Aus Richtung Norden:

über Münster, Recklinghausen:

Sie müssen auf die Autobahn A43 kommen, die von Münster nach Wuppertal führt, siehe Plan „Autobahnverbindungen zur Ruhr-Universität“. An der Anschlussstelle „Bochum Querenburg/ Ruhr-Universität“ verlassen Sie die A43. Nehmen Sie die Abfahrt „Uni-Mitte“. Dann bitte weiter wie unter 2c. 2c) Nach der Abfahrt "Uni-Mitte": Folgen Sie der Ausschilderung „Veranstaltungszentrum“ bzw. „EuroCogSci 2019“. Mit dem Stichwort „EuroCogSci 2019“ wird Ihnen die Schranke zur Tiefgarage geöffnet. Fahren Sie zum Parkdeck P9. Über die Fahrstühle (folgen Sie der Ausschilderung) gelangen Sie in das Veranstaltungszentrum (Ebene 04).
