The paper “From Explicit Allowances to Defeasible Deontic Operators: A Modal View.” by Agata Ciabattoni, Josephine Dik, Emiliano Lorini, Dominik Pichler, and Dimitry Rozplokhas has won the best student paper award at PRIMA 2025 (26th International Conference on Principles and Practice of Multi-Agent Systems).

The Luxembourg Logic & AI Summit (LuxLogAI 2025) is taking place 1-5 December 2025 at the Neumünster Abbey in Luxembourg City.

LuxLogAI brings together several colocated events:

• The LNGAI workshop (Logic for New Generation AI)
• The CALM workshop (Causality, Agents, and Large Models)
• The ICR20 celebration, marking 20 years of the Individual and Collective Reasoning group and its offspring projects.

The paper “Addressing the Right to Explanation and the Right to Challenge through Hybrid-AI: Symbolic Constraints over Large Language Models via Prompt Engineering” by Liuwen Yu, Davide Liga and Réka Markovich has received the Carole Hafner Best Paper Award at ICAIL 2025.

The paper “A. Ciabattoni, D. Rozplokhas and M. Tesi, GL-based calculi for PCL and its deontic cousin. JELIA 2025” has received the best student paper award at JELIA 2025.

The related project AXAIS: Acquiring and explaining norms for AI systems (A. Ciabattoni, J. Horty and C. Mateis) has been funded by the Vienna Science ond Technology Funds. The project has started December 2024.

The 17th International Conference on Deontic Logic and Normative Systems DEON 2025 will be held at the Vienna University of Technology, from June 30th to July 3rd. Conference chairs: Agata Ciabattoni and John Horty.
