Mehdi Zohourian was born 1987 in Isfahan, Iran. He received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Electronics) from Isfahan University of Technology in 2010. He pursued his education and got his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Communication) from Sharif University of Technology in 2012.
Since March 2014, he has joined to the ICanHear project as an early stage research for the project Multi-channel speech enhancement in highly dynamic acoustic environments. He is currently doing his Ph.D. under supervision of Prof. Rainer Martin at the Institute of Communication Acoustic (IKA), Ruhr University of Bochum.


His research interests are mainly in signal processing with more focus on acoustic source localization and beamforming, multi-channel speech enhancement and hearing aids.
