TP8 – Fakultät für Chemie und Center for Nanointegration Duisburg-Essen (CENIDE), Universität Duisburg-Essen

The group of Malte Behrens is experienced in materials chemistry of inorganic solid catalysts with a focus on synthesis, structural changes under working conditions and structure-performance relationships. The group holds expertise in the application of co-precipitation methods for the synthesis of catalysts and their precursors. Preliminary work also includes the development of highly active OER catalysts based on mixed transition metal hydroxycarbonates. Optionally, subsequent reduction of the precursors leads to bi-metallic nanomaterials.
