Welcome to the Apfel group
The Apfel group is interested in the activation of biologically and industrially relevant small molecules such as H2, N2, O2, CO and CO2. Especially the activation of CO2 and formation of H2 are main topics and projects involve the synthesis of novel materials as mimics for the Carbon monoxide dehydrogenase and Hydrogenases.
