Bochumer Jahrbuch zur Ostasienforschung
Bochum Yearbook of East Asian Studies

The Bochumer Jahrbuch zur Ostasienforschung [Bochum Yearbook for East Asian Studies] (BJOAF) has been published since 1978 by the Faculty of East Asian Studies at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. It serves as an international forum for academic publications on East Asian research, with individual research papers making up the larger part of the journal.
Alongside these, each edition has a special theme. The authors of the essays in this section are invited and supported by a guest editor.
All papers submitted for publication undergo double-blind peer review.
