Virological examination of horse samples
We offer a virological examination of your equine specimen for Equine Parvovirus or Hepacivirus, which may include a test for antibody and/or viral DNA/RNA. The sample material can be whole blood, EDTA blood, serum or liver biopsy. For further questions we are of course gladly available.
For a reliable result, please note the following advices:
- Always send serum samples 2-5mL (or EDTA) frozen/cooled
- For antibody determination the samples can be sent unrefrigerated
- Always send liver biopsies on dry ice (without medium); biopsies cannot be processed without cooling.
