Unna: Centre for International Light Art

Located in a decommissioned brewery, Centre for International Light Art in Unna boasts an interesting combination of traditional and modern elements. On premises stretching over an area of 2,400 square metres renowned artists use light installations to illuminate former fermentation vats, cooling chambers and labyrinthine corridors, thus imbuing them with a new significance and rendering them experienceable. RUB members may be familiar with the name of light artist Mischa Kuball: he designed the back-to-front neon letters that adorn the top of the university library building.
