Schwingungsspektroskopie an Metall-Metalloxidsystemen
Vibrational
Spectroscopy on Metal/Metal-Oxide Systems
Using vibrational spectroscopic
methods (HREELS and UHV-FTIRS), the morphological and electronic properties
and respectively the chemical activity shall be investigated systematically
for various oxide supported metal particles with respect to methanol synthesis (Cu/ZnO,
Pd/ZnO) and the selective oxidation of alcohols (Au/TiO2 and Au/ZnO),
both under ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) and realistic conditions. Combining both
methods (HREELS and UHV-FTIRS) allows extending vibrational spectroscopic investigations from ideal (model catalysts) to
complex systems (powder particles).
